Very simple but nice

Graphics and interface look fine, but gameplay requires fixing. I am particularly frustrated with the inability to direct the knights once these are created, so sometimes I end up with 3-4 knights wandering aimlessly around, while the enemy is growing in power. Another problem is when I use Fire - my units die as well as the enemy. Next, the game only lets you lower land, and raise is possible only in water - but it will be good to be able to do both, and thus hurt the enemy. And finally, having 4-5 enemies per map is way too much, we should have the choice of how many we want to fight. If these issues are corrected, I would say the game is certainly worth a buy.

Ive been checking the app store e eery few months for a populous style game - I should haw figured that Sean would come through with a greAt one!!!

Get the ability to control Knights, thats all you have to do

There was a little more to do in this version but still not as action packed as it could be

This is a fun, good game with a lot of potential if the developer keeps polishing it. It has good bones but lacks sparkle. The core mechanic of raining down horrors on your enemies and prospering your tribe works very well. The graphics are so-so but they communicate whats happening. The controls are mostly natural. The "tutorial" levels are chaotic and undifferentiated. It would have been far better to start with colors isolated on their own islands to give new players a chance to experiment safely. The free-for-all chaos at the start of a level makes for more intense gameplay, but youd expect the "very easy" levels to hold your hand a bit more. The difference between "very easy" and "hard" is subtle, not pronounced (more active enemy AI, I think?) One frustrating problem that bites you repeatedly is that you cant scroll beyond the level boundaries. When youre trying to flatten land on the edge of the map, frequently the bottom edge, you end up with accidental volcanoes instead, because the buttons are in the way. It would help a lot if landscape changes could be animated somehow. Its tricky to see what youre doing, and a bit of visual feedback for shaping the ground would help. Ive spent a few hours playing this, and will likely spend more. I hope it keeps being upgraded!

This game has horrifyingly bad graphics and lacks any point whatsoever. Honestly, I want my money back. Its not fun. I just flatten the ground? THATS all I do? What?!

Not really good. Confusing at first. There are better games out there for sure.

Great game, however, level 13 crashes every time.

I get smoked on level 1 (very easy!) How do you build up land so as to disturb the opponents progress? Populous was wayyyyyyyy better.

I love tribes! It is fun and addicting

I already won all the levels, even the extra hard, I wish there was a way to reset it again and play them again. I also wish you could play this with your friends (the other competing yellow, blue and green tribes). I also wish you could build up as in populous. But fun addicting game overall. Never crashed for me.

The inability to control the direction the land goes means you just tap everywhere to flatten land. The small maps are crowded with all teams fighting for the same land from the very beginning. There are much more enjoyable strategy games on the app store. Slay, from the same creator is very fun.

Sure its not like populous 100% but at least its "like" the game. Love it!

I tried the Tribes Lite sampler before purchasing this game, liked it but thought it was too hard. On the full version of Tribes, though, you get enough different scenarios and landscapes to really learn to play the game strategically and get better at it. This isnt one of those silly games where you basically follow tbe directions and "win," you actualy have to figure out how to play it. Basically you can direct your tribe members with flags or shields to make them plant more tribemembers or fight, and you can make level land for them to build little tents, houses, forts or castles on. More level land - more powerful settlements. Meanwhile other tribes are doing the same thing, all in real time. Not a slow paced turn based game, this one is more of a frantic attempt to keep your tribe happy while thwarting the enemy tribes. You get destructo-powers as you get more settlements, and try to outgrow the others while they try to eliminate you. Theres lots of different maps wi varying levels of difficulty, really a pretty fun game that will take you a long time to finish. Could be perhaps more controls, I would like to be able to slow down the action a bit while learning, maybe the AI of your tribemembers could look behind them or left and right when they are seeking level land. The flags and shields you plant to direct the tribemembers also dont seem to motivate them as much as i would like, darn it you guys stop wandering around and get to work!!!! But all in all a great game, recommended.
